Cruising Information

Marina Information
Prices for monohulls: 1-1.4 Euro per foot in the official marinas. In high season prices are 10% more. Price for catamarans: Are 1.5 times the price for monohulls. Price for mooring lines in villages is cheaper than the prices in marinas. The price is determined by the port authority.

Ports & Marinas
It is not possible to make reservations for berths in Croatian Marinas, or in small fishing villages. There are usually places but do not arrive too late! If you are not coming from abroad there are no formalities. The average price for a berth is between 30-50 Euro. There are plenty of marinas on the Adriatic eastern coast and all the information about them can be found in the Adriatic Nautical Guide that you have in the boat's library. Anything else you need to know will be covered in your chart briefing.

Electricity Information
All yachts are equipped with power cords, a battery charger and 220 V plugs. The piers in the Marina are equipped with 220 V outlets. The inventory includes an adaptor. The piers of the other marinas are generally equipped with 220 V outlets.

Sailing Area Restrictions
No restricted areas for sailing except the military harbour at Split.

Log Book
The maritime authorities and insurers insist that the logbook be kept up to date in case of an accident. We must have the original back at the end of the cruise. Should you wish to have a copy, the base will be happy to make one for you. Should you wish to refresh your sailing skills, we advise you to hire a skipper for a day or two. Contact your agent, and we can arrange this service.

Cruising Permits and Fees
A cruising permit is issued on arrival at the port of entry. The permit lasts for the calendar year and covers any number of exits and entries, but must be stamped at each major port by the harbour master and customs. The permit allows a yacht to cruise along the entire coast including the islands, except for certain prohibited areas.

Sailing outside Croatia
Yachts 12 m. (39 ft.) or larger are able to sail from any of our bases in Croatia into Slovenia, Italy, and Montenegro. By law in order to pass clearance to go outside Croatian waters with a Moorings yacht, there must be two people on board with skipper’s licenses. This is a stipulation made by the Croatian authorities.
